With a direct bloodline to the last king of Burma and a history of nomadic predecessors, Niel has spent most of his life exploring remote and exotic places.
Driven by the thrill of the unknown his adventures include travelling by natural power from England to Antarctica - cycling, sailing, kayaking & climbing the entire way.
With a background in marketing, he developed his own communications business, managing a number of global sports brands as its core clients. He also developed other concepts including a youth adventure and personal development enterprise.
With a passion for experiencing life at its most extraordinary, he's as at home self-sufficient in inhospitable far-flung jungles entertaining shamens as he is sailing luxurious super-yachts. The passion to share these unique experiences is what led to the founding of Based On A True Story, taking some of the world's wealthiest individuals to some of the most remote and beautiful places on earth.
