Brief
—A wish to discover a Central American country and travel overland from coast to coast. Absolute exclusivity. 7-nights.
Solution
—A multi-logistic traverse of Costa Rica from coast to coast, utilising private aviation, helicopters, 4x4’s, white-water-rafting, horse-back riding, a luxurious motor-yacht and jet-skis. We devised a plan that showcased the countries most important regions, securing mostly private homes and villas where we added private chefs, butlers and masseuses. We chose to travel in the off-season to avoid tourists with a small gamble with weather which ultimately paid off.

—Helicopter over-fly (with special permission) of one of the worlds most active volcanoes, descending to bathe in natural thermally heated waters in a private garden sanctuary overlooking the smouldering Volcan Arenal; Surfing lessons in champagne surf with a professional athlete on the pacific coast; Whale and wildlife encounters, including tapirs, toucans and macaws in the flora and fauna-rich Corcovado National Park; A first-ever heli-assisted volcano descent on mountain-bikes; White-water rafting through wildlife-rich waters; Exploring the silent labyrinth waters of the Tortuguero National Park by jet-ski; Discovering a ‘Robinson Crusoe style’ remote beach-house, specially upgraded to offer a surprise romantic hideaway and miles of coastline with nesting giant Leatherback turtles.
